Increasing Your Curb Appeal

The Victoria Day long weekend is upon us, and is widely celebrated as the first sign that summer is on its way! Canada has been celebrating the birthday of Queen Victoria since it was declared a holiday in 1845. Since 1957, Victoria Day was permanently appointed as the official day to celebrate the Queen’s birthday.
There are plenty of activities to do over the Victoria Day long weekend. One of the very popular past times is to begin your summer gardening. Small touches to the exterior of your home can greatly improve your curb appeal. This is especially important if you are looking to sell your home in the near future.
A few easy ways to increase your home’s curb appeal is to make sure that your lawn is neatly cut and raked and that your trees and bushes are trimmed. Plant colourful flowers in your gardens or urns to make your home more bright and inviting. Another way to make your yard look crisp and clean is to stain your fence or deck and touch up any paint that might be peeling around your doors and windows.
When landscaping your home, there are many areas of focus that can take your home presentation to an entirely different level. When over viewing your plans, remember to break them down into; hardscape, soft scape, height colour and density of garden beds.
