We found a great article that addresses the myths surrounding Canada’s new MLS changes. Many beleive that anyone can now put up a listing themselves, however this is not true. Listings still must be put onto MLS by a licensed realtor. Also, the MLS system is designed to share information with other Realtors who can bring potential buyers to the home. If the seller isn’t interested in paying the Realtor to bring buyers, there’s no incentive to show that home.
