Join us on Sunday, September 28th for the Applefest Fall Fair. Admission is FREE compliments the Rocca Sisters & Associates
September 19, 2014 | Posted by The Rocca Sisters & AssociatesThis weekend on Sunday, September 28th from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., join the Rocca Sisters & Associates at Ireland House at Oakridge Farm (2168 Guelph Line) to celebrate the Museum of Burlington’s Applefest Fall Fair, an old-fashioned fall fair right in the city. As presenting sponsors of this amazing local community event, we are pleased to once again offer FREE admission to all who attend as a way to say “Thank you” to our incredible community for all the support you show us throughout the year and for making us the #1 Sales Team in Burlington for a fourth consecutive year (2010-2013)!
From 9 a.m. – 11 a.m., enjoy an outdoor pancake breakfast to start the day off right. Then, starting at 11 a.m., take part in all of the fun-filled activities the day has to offer including apple cider making, junior farmer competitions, blacksmith demonstrations, tours through historic Ireland House, children’s games, crafts, face painting and more. The day also includes live entertainment on stage, learning how to milk a cow with the Dairy Farmers of Ontario, and shopping with local vendors and artisans.
Of course, a fall fair wouldn’t be complete without fall harvest treats like country BBQ, chilli dogs, pulled pork, delicious apple tarts, apple pie and more.
Be sure to sign your children up for their chance to be crowned this year’s Applefest Fall Fair Prince & Princess at 1 p.m. The pageant is open for children 6 to 10 years old.
Applefest is a great way to spend time with family, get to know your neighbours and meet new friends while helping to support our community’s cultural landmarks along the way. Stop by the Rocca Sisters & Associates’ tent to say “Hi!” and receive a free children’s goodie bag, as well as an extra treat for children located at our tables.
So come and celebrate the harvest season with the Rocca Sisters & Associates and the Museums of Burlington! Proceeds from this event go towards the Museum of Burlington’s educational programs and preservation of the historic collection.
