The last long weekend of summer is upon us and offers a great variety of things to do in our community to celebrate Labour Day. Royal Botanical Gardens will be holding a Teddy Bear Picnic August 29 and 30 full of fun teddy bear themed activities including meeting a life sized teddy and scavenger hunt!

If you are looking for a guaranteed good time during the weekend, make sure to visit Burlington’s 20th annual Ribfest, the largest in Canada! Every year, the Burlington, Oakville and surrounding areas are able to sample some of the best ribs in North America. Last year over 175,000 visitors attended the event organized by the Rotary Club of Burlington Lakeshore, and in the past 19 years over $3 million has been raised for local, national, and international charities.

The event takes place from Thursday September 3^rd to Monday September 7^th, 2015 at Spencer Smith Park in Burlington. Come on out and join the Rocca Sisters & Associates for some ribs!

Don’t forget the Museums of Burlington’s Applefest Fall Fair, an old-fashioned FREE fall fair right here in the city! On Sunday, September 27 from 11am to 4pm, join our team as we sponsor this event, at Ireland House at Oakridge Farm (2168 Guelph Line) and celebrate everything the season has to offer!
