The members’ of Millcroft Golf Club hosted their second annual charity tournament for ‘The Carpenter Hospice’ on Tuesday, August 23rd.

The Rocca Sisters Team were proud sponsors of this event and are avid supporters of the hospice that raised $25,000. The Carpenter Hospice is a special sanctuary run by a team of volunteers in our community offering people in their last stages of cancer and their families high quality palliative care.

The hospice was built entirely from donations from local residents and businesses, and operates the majority of its revenue off fundraising and donations.

It has been our great honor to have the opportunity over the years to be directly involved in many fundraisers benefiting this unique establishment and to even more personally be involved with the hospice by offering our own personal donations of blankets and books so generously donated by our clients.

We understand the support that is appreciated and necessary at this difficult time in peoples’ lives. We take a very personal interest, as we too went through this with the loss of our Mother to cancer in 2009.

More recently, The Rocca Sisters Team has taken on their own initiative in the communities of Burlington and Oakville in helping those who are fighting cancer and those supporting people with cancer.
