Santa Claus is coming to town at the Burlington Christmas Parade – and the Rocca Sisters & Associates will be there!
December 3, 2014 | Posted by The Rocca Sisters & AssociatesWe are so excited to announce that we will be taking part in this year’s 49th Annual Burlington Christmas Parade on Sunday, Dec. 7. The parade route starts at 2 p.m. at the Burlington Mall at the corner of Prospect Street and Guelph Line. The parade will be moving along Guelph Line to New Street, continuing west along New Street to James Street, and then north on Brant Street. Santa will be making his final appearance at Brant Street and Caroline Street before making his way back to the North Pole.
This is the second year that our team will be participating in the parade. Watch for our Rocca Sisters car and our Associates as they march on by – you may even receive a little treat from our team members so be sure to wave “hello” as they go by.
One of things we love most about the parade is seeing so many of our clients, friends and family enjoying what our community has to offer. Christmas parades are a great way for the community to officially kick off the holiday season, and Santa parades in particular have a rich history and have been taking place across North America for decades. Did you know that one of oldest Santa parades is in Toronto which started in 1905? It’s incredible that our own city’s parade is just one year shy of 50 years old – and here’s to 50 more.
So bring your family out to enjoy some amazing bands including the music of the famous Burlington Teen Tour Band. Watch colourful floats made from the members of our community and send a smile and a wave to the clowns and mascots marching by.
Make sure to bring along your letter for Santa Claus since Jolly Ol’ Saint Nick will be making his annual appearance at the end of the parade. Come one, come all – let’s celebrate our community and this wonderful holiday season ahead. We look forward to seeing you there.
