Save the Date! Treats in our Streets 2018
October 18, 2018 | Posted by The Rocca Sisters & AssociatesCalling all little ghosts and goblins! The Rocca Sisters Team is proud to be a sponsor for the Burlington Downtown Treats in our Streets on Saturday, October 27th 10:00am – 1:00pm. Come celebrate Halloween at this wildly popular trick-or-treating event! Families are welcomed to trick-or-treat in costumes throughout downtown Burlington, collecting goodies at over 90 participating businesses.
The adventure starts at the Burlington Downtown Tent located outside of 375 Brant Street. The first 2,000 participants will receive a free trick-or-treating bag, and route maps will be provided on-site.
The Rocca Sisters Team will have a tent set up along the route, with friendly (and spooky) Team members handing out treats and giveaways, so make sure your little trick-or-treaters have lots of room in their bags when they come see us!
There will be loads of spooktacular activities and events, such as a bouncy obstacle course, carnival games, a haunted house, petting zoo, popcorn giveaways, a photobooth, face painting, balloon artists, Disney Princesses and more! The event will be concluded with a Zombie Walk parade for all the little trick-or-treaters, which will commence at the Burlington downtown tent and walk towards City Hall.
This year this free event is expected to be a busy one, and this year there will be an increased police presence and crossing guards, as the safety of every participant is the top priority. New this year there will also be a continuous FREE shuttle from the north side of the Burlington GO Station to the downtown John Street Terminal beginning at 9:30am.
The Burlington Downtown Business Association, who host the event, have some helpful hints to ensure all the little ghosts and goblins in our streets and are safe to haunt from place to place, collecting goodies along the way:
- Look both ways and review the rules of the road with your kids! All streets will remain open to vehicles during the event, so please make sure to use designated the crosswalks and our extra police-directed traffic areas to safely move around the neighbourhood.
- Check all of your treats thoroughly and carefully as the event is not peanut-free.
- Stay mindful of your surroundings and if you have any concerns, our event coordinators and team of volunteers in the orange shirts are here to help.
We at the Rocca Sisters Team cannot wait to see all the fun, spooky, and boo-tiful costumes this year! Stay tuned to www.roccasisters.ca/blog or at Burlingtondowntown.ca later this week to download the route map in advance and plan your Treats in our Streets adventure, and remember that this fang-tastic event is rain or shine!
