Showcasing your Pool: Make a Splash in the Summer Market
July 20, 2011 | Posted by The Rocca Sisters & AssociatesAs pool owners ourselves, it has become increasingly evident within the marketplace that pools are growing in popularity.
What better an opportunity than the Summer market to highlight your pool and landscape features, creating that personal oasis and spa-like escape from our day-to-day routine.
As a Seller, the summer is an opportune time to take advantage of a market that allows you to capture the subjective value of your pool.
As a Buyer, the Summer is the perfect time to properly shop and qualify a home purchase with a pool.
As both a Seller and Buyer, it is important to know what to expect when selling or purchasing a home with a pool.
It is extremely important to be able to provide detailed info on your pool as the Seller, and you may want to consider being proactive by arranging for a pre-swimming pool inspection. It is often requested that the Seller open or close a pool depending on the time of the season, this is not uncommon. It is also always encouraged to keep a log of any openings, closings and pool maintenance.
When purchasing a home with a pool, you don’t want to forget to request all of the important pieces of pool equipment, such as the pool cover, skimmer, creepy crawler, etc.
It is often suggested that purchasing a home with a pool is a much better investment than actually putting it in yourself. Pools are subjective value, so if this is something you are considering doing, than talking to a professional who understands the impact to your home’s value is strongly encouraged.
We are happy to answer any questions you may have. July and August can be very healthy market months. So if you’re going to make a splash this summer, make a big one and allow The Rocca Sisters Team to join in the fun!
