Top Five Golf Courses in Burlington We Absolutely Love!
July 29, 2019 | Posted by The Rocca Sisters & AssociatesIf you’re an avid golfer, there are few places better to live than Burlington, Ontario. With dozens of golf courses, golf clubs and driving ranges in Burlington and surrounding communities, the possibilities of enjoying a game or practising your swing are nearly endless! With summer weather cooperating better than ever, we have compiled a list of five great golf courses for those looking for their new favourite spot.
1. Lowville Golf Club
Nestled in the Niagara Escarpment north of Central Burlington, Lowville Golf Club is a must-play for any golfer. It’s hard to pick a favourite course in a city with so many great courses, but this one takes top spot. TripAdvisor rates this as the #3 for all outdoor activities in Burlington, and with good reason: The golf course is pristine with a great layout, good elevation changes, and a scenic setting that boasts beautiful escarpment views. The service is impeccable and the food at the clubhouse is top-notch. If you’re looking for a perfect golfing experience in Burlington, Lowville Golf Club will not disappoint!
2. Crosswinds Golf and Country Club
With majestic views of the Niagara Escarpment, Crosswind’s 200 acre tree lined course is a beauty! This 18-hole championship golf course offers every level of golfer – from expert to novice – a memorable and enjoyable round of golf. With a beautiful clubhouse, great food, and friendly staff, Crosswinds is also a popular and picturesque wedding destination.
3. Indian Wells Golf Club
A slightly more challenging golf course with lots of elevation changes and a mix of narrow and open fairways, Indian Wells is best suited for golfers with a moderate level of experience. With lovely views, friendly staff and good value, however, even novice golfers will enjoy their experience.
4. Millcroft Golf Club
A somewhat shorter golf course, Millcroft nonetheless requires a lot of walking so renting a golf cart is recommended, especially for seniors. The course is challenging without being overly difficult with pleasant surroundings and a clubhouse with friendly staff, good food, and a great selection at the bar.
5. Hidden Lake Golf Club
Originally built in 1962, Hidden Lake offers 36 holes spanning both the Old Course and the New Course. The New Course is nicely designed and is a bit easier, while the Old Course is slightly more challenging. At a reasonable price, Hidden Lake is considered one of the best “bang for your buck” spots.
