Wishing Mothers Everywhere a Happy Mother’s Day
May 8, 2015 | Posted by The Rocca Sisters & AssociatesMother’s Day is often portrayed as a day to express appreciation. Mothers everywhere are the recipients of blossoming flowers and precious handmade cards of paint and macaroni.
What we sometimes forget is that it is a day to commemorate mothers everywhere; those that have come and gone and left their mark of unconditional love with us.
Having lost our mother Joan in May 2009 to ovarian cancer, we take this time to cherish her memory and gather with family to honour her life. Another year has passed us by and we continue to watch new generations flourish in our family.
Tanya welcomed a beautiful baby girl this past September. Miss Quinlan is bright eyed, bushy tailed and full of smiles. While Cathy is looking forward to experiencing Motherhood for the second time late this May, this time welcoming a baby girl. Cathy’s first child, son Gianluca Anthony, is anxiously awaiting the arrival of his new little sister.
We put to work all of the cherished lessons and values that we learned from our Mother. She was an incredible and inspirational role model.
Our love for our mom and respect for mothers everywhere has encouraged us to reach out to those in our community. We all have a story. If you would like to join us in our desire to educate others, raise awareness and help continue research for a cure for cancer, please contact us at 905-335-4102, or info@roccasisters.ca.
